
Mr. Boone was born in Wallace Country, Kansas and has been a life-long resident of the state. He was also a candidate for Attorney General in 1964. After serving in the US Navy during WWII, Mr. Boone got his undergraduate degree from Fort Hays State University in 1953 and his law degree from Washburn and began his practice in 1956. From 1960 to 1964 he served as mayor and as a part time workers compensation examiner. While in practice, he has tried in excess of 100 jury trials, including four first and one second degree murder cases with one acquittal. He has had published 50 opinions in the Kansas Supreme Court and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver , Colorado . His trial and office practice has included all major areas of the law. Mr. Boone is also a former rancher/farmer and is a third generation breeder of horses, both thoroughbred and quarter horses. See more information on Mr. Boone's specialized field of Equine Law .
